Bethesda lore thread, and a related one.
Use this as the Falmer’s worldview, after splitting from Aldmer. What little ancient runic writing survives, from the people who taught the Nords to write, tells this story.
lore: Lorkhan’s death severed the connection to the Waters of Oblivion.
Falmer transliteration: world-artificer act-of-death dried-up spirit issue-of-water
Primitive Quendian: mbartano wanwe doro phaja ektele
Old Norse: skapari doudarord brunnr hugr
Nordic transliteration: creator tidings-of-death burn-spring-well mind-thought-heart-spirit
This explains the Elves, Psijics, Psijic Endeavor, Tribunal, power of Lorkhan’s Heart to unmake a race, Umaril’s changing back into his soul’s myth-form, a daedra. Elves just consort with their “fellow” daedra, “I want to be like you…”, Psijics and the Endeavor and the Tribunal all think it’s within them to change into Gods, but all are just Lorkhan’s creation without a blessing from the Duality.
The beginning was perfect order, for there was no variation. In time, a place became, with a thing upon it, who consider how it should be.
